Conference Speakers

  • La-Kita Gilmore is a prominent leader, dynamic speaker, and author recognized for her notable contributions to her community, the church, and professional sectors. She has received numerous awards for her impactful work. With over 25 years of experience in corporate project management and leadership, as well as over 20 years in senior leadership roles within faith-based organizations, she is a recognized authority on building high-performing teams and executing initiatives that drive transformative change and deliver outstanding results.

    La-Kita holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and a Seminary Master’s degree in Biblical Ministries with a concentration in leadership from Lancaster Bible College – Capital Seminary & Graduate School. This strong educational foundation allows her to effectively inspire and empower other leaders to achieve excellence.

    La-Kita is a dedicated advocate for her community, having led several nonprofit boards that focus on advancing education, promoting financial literacy, and driving community development initiatives. She is the founder and CEO of Women of Purpose, a movement empowering women to confidently embrace their God-given purpose. She also serves as the President of the Interdenominational Ministers Conference of Greater Harrisburg (IMC).

  • Kerry is the founder/President of Integritas Development, a ministry born out of a passion for developing wholehearted leaders who are learning to live and lead from whole hearts and healthy souls. With more than 25 years experience stemming from a wide variety of professional and volunteer ministry roles, Kerry understands the toll that leadership and ministry can take on the human soul. Using a formational leadership framework, she helps leaders discover a way of living and leading that flows from the inside out.

    She holds a Master’s in Spiritual Formation & Leadership (Spring Arbor University) and writes and speaks on topics related to leadership development, formational leadership, soul care, and Christian spiritual formation. Kerry is a Spiritual Director (PAX Center), a licensed pastor with the Brethren in Christ Church, and a weekly blogger on Substack (Learning to Live Wholehearted).

  • Julia A. Colbert is an author, speaker, and certified image consultant with a passion to walk alongside women as they discover their God-given purpose and identity. In January of 2021, she and her husband planted the Chapel Church in the heart of Harrisburg, PA, with the vision to become a multi-ethnic, multi-class, and multi-generational church. 

    As the Director of Operations at the Chapel Church, Julia provides administrative and strategic direction to ministry teams.  In addition to this, she is the Founder and Host of the annual Thrive Becoming Women’s Conference.  As Director of Thrive Women’s Ministry, Julia plans and executes initiatives that support the discipleship and mentorship of women.  Her desire to serve has afforded her various opportunities to uplift and encourage other women from all ages and walks of life.  From church, community, and volunteer opportunities to personal initiatives, she believes in reaching out and making an impact to improve the lives of women, and in doing so, the lives of their families.  In 2010, inspired by the work God has done in her, Julia released her first book, "Old Heart, New Heart”, and released her second book, "I Am Beautiful, in 2022. 

    Julia obtained a Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies with a minor in Ministry Leadership and a Master of Arts in Ministry with a concentration in Leadership Studies.  Julia’s studies have further equipped her to be a servant leader, Bible teacher, and author. 

    Becoming an avid reader at a young age due to the influence of her maternal grandmother and aunt, Julia finds great joy in reading and writing in her free time. She also enjoys time spent with her husband, Pastor Larry A. Colbert, and children: Danae, Dominique, Taja, and Larry Alexander.

  • Evangelist Courtney E. Boyd is a dynamic woman of God, graced with an authentic voice to inspire others to embrace the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She is a preacher, teacher, innovator, spiritual mother, mentor, and confidant to women throughout the country.

    Evangelist Boyd is the First Lady of the historic Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church located in Washington, DC., where she serves the people of God with joy and fervor. Before relocating to the Washington D.C. area, she served faithfully at The Empowered Church of God in Christ in St. Louis, Missouri where her father, Bishop Edwin C. Bass is the founding pastor. She committed her service as the Minister of Music, Worship Leader, Ministry Team constituent, and a leader within the Women’s Ministry. In 2017, after several years of ministry in the local church, she was licensed as an Evangelist in the Eastern Missouri First Jurisdiction.

    Now serving alongside her husband, her gifts and passions for real tangible ministry are interwoven throughout various areas within and outside of the four walls of the church. She is a woman of prayer and wisdom with a deep desire to lead women to the feet of Jesus where their treasure, identity, and purpose are revealed.

    Professionally, Evangelist Boyd successfully served several areas in the financial industry for over a decade. Moreover, she later dedicated her faithful service to the Christian private school sector in the state of Maryland. She has a B.A. in Business Organizational Studies from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri. Now serving in full time ministry, she has put her hand to the plow while loving and ministering to people from all walks of life.

    She counts family as one of her most precious gifts. She is the devoted wife of Pastor Orin Boyd, Jr., and the mother of son, Kyng. Joyfully, her union with Pastor Boyd expanded her family circle to include a bonus daughter, Tishayln, and 4 beautiful grandchildren.

    Evangelist Boyd is a woman of wisdom with a fragrant personality. She loves the people of God and is committed to building his Kingdom by any means necessary. She counts it a privilege and honor to serve in ministry. The focus of her mission is found in John 9:4; I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
