Clarity & Vision
We continue our blog, Living on Purpose, with a brand new Purpose series. Each month, we’ll share a different theme, organized in three action sections:
Wake Up with Purpose: Each month’s theme and prayer focus.
Write with Purpose: Journal prompts to encourage you to reflect and write.
Move with Purpose: A call to action inspired by what you’ve learned.
January’s Theme is Clarity & Vision
Wake Up with Purpose
Good morning! - How are you waking up with purpose?
As we step into a new year, we pause to quiet the noise and seek God’s direction.
Prayer Prompt: Lord, bring clarity where there has been confusion and vision where we have felt unsure. Align our plans with Your will and help us see clearly the path You’ve set before us.
Scriptures: Habbakuk 2:2-3; Ephesians 1:17-18
Reflection: What is God asking you to focus on this season—and what needs to be released?
Write with Purpose
Grab a journal to record your reflections over the next year.
Journal Prompt
What did this season require of me that I didn’t expect but needed?
Move with Purpose
‘Prayers & Jammies’
This month’s Move with Purpose idea was inspired by Women of Purpose Board Members, Jasmin Botero and Lesley Williams. Read about their experience and then take action!
“Prayers and Jammies wasn’t planned as a “moment.” It came from a need to slow down, be present, and choose intimacy with God over productivity. The boards we created were born from honesty, naming what we were carrying, what we were believing God for, and what we needed to release. This wasn’t about aesthetics; it was about alignment. Sometimes purpose shows up when we give ourselves permission to rest and listen.”
Action Steps Inspired by ‘Prayers and Jammies’ Night:
Create space. Set aside one evening with no agenda other than being present.
Choose comfort. Wear something that helps your body relax and your mind slow down.
Pray first. Invite God into the space before doing anything else.
Reflect and create. Use writing or vision boards to express what’s on your heart.
Take one step. Identify one small, actionable step you can take this week toward what God revealed.
Why This Matters:
Movement doesn’t always mean doing more. Sometimes it means moving toward stillness, obedience, and intentional action. One step at a time.
